R Henson: Fiction, Academic Interpretation and Theory

Bio

Rod has always responded to the written word.  From early childhood, he found adventure and solace in books; through the angst and heartache of adolescence he found an outlet in creating entire worlds with the stroke of a pen and in adulthood he's found his greatest pleasure remains in the creation of prose.  He considers literature the truest measurement of the human condition.

Traveler: Wanderer to Protector

The first book in the Traveler  series, due for completion in July, 2014, introduces Gastone of France, a nearly one thousand year old vampire with the rare compulsion to evolve beyond his carnal lusts.  He is unique in that he studies from his turning the ancient texts of the First Born.  In doing so his way of looking at his existence becomes a cornerstone for how he and his coven conduct themselves.  He loves his 'after-life'... loves wondering the earth with his 'krewe'.  He maintains a home in the cultural city of New Orleans, but has spent most of his time traveling and learning.

When he is summoned back to New Orleans by the Aucune Tetre', (representatives for the Ruling Families), he learns of a sinister plot to upset the natural order of his kind.  As the mantle of authority and title of Protector is laid on his shoulders, he learns more than he ever wanted to know.

Every rebellion, it seems, has two sides.

Only one side can be right....
